SERVICES WE OFFER

Family Foundation Center utilizes principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to develop research-based strategies for addressing challenging behaviors and learning deficits, ultimately enhancing the lives of our participants. Our approach not only involves working directly with the participant but also collaborating with their caregiver(s) to maximize the effectiveness of the services provided.

An initial assessment is conducted to determine the most appropriate service delivery model tailored to meet the specific needs of each participant.

Definitions:

Comprehensive ABA Treatment
This treatment comprehensively addresses a wide range of skill deficits across multiple affected developmental domains, including cognitive, communication, social, emotional, and adaptive functioning. It also focuses on managing maladaptive behaviors such as noncompliance, tantrums, and stereotypy. Typically, comprehensive ABA treatment involves a higher number of weekly hours, approximately 30-40 hours, to ensure thorough support.

Focused ABA Treatment
This approach targets a narrower range of skill deficits and specific behavioral goals, such as coping skills and communication. The treatment is provided for a lower number of weekly hours, up to 20 hours. The focus is on developing key functional skills and addressing acute problem behaviors. Additionally, we empower the participant’s caregivers by providing them with training to maintain progress, gradually reducing the need for ongoing ABA support.
